Mouse SR Product Guide: Scrolling, Finder Tools, and Setup
If you like your mouse but not the stiff, click-by-click way its wheel scrolls on a Mac, Mouse SR is made for that. It turns a third-party mouse wheel into smooth, continuous scrolling and gives you simple controls to make it feel right.
It also adds a few genuinely useful right-click actions to Finder, so common file tasks take fewer clicks.
For the focused Finder workflow, see Finder right-click tools for Mac.
Smooth mouse scrolling on Mac
Mouse SR smooths out the notched movement from a regular mouse wheel. You can adjust:
- How far each wheel step scrolls
- How soft or smooth the movement feels
- How quickly scrolling accelerates
- Which direction the wheel scrolls
You can switch smooth scrolling on or off from the menu bar whenever you need it. Trackpads, Magic Mouse, drawing tablets, and other devices that already use continuous scrolling are left alone.
Useful Finder right-click tools
Turn on the Finder extension, choose the folders where it should appear, and Mouse SR adds three handy actions:
- Open in Terminal for the current or selected folder
- Create a new TXT or Markdown file without opening another app
- Copy Path for a file, folder, or the folder you are currently viewing
They are small shortcuts, but they are especially useful if you work with code, notes, project folders, or files that need to be referenced elsewhere.
For mouse-button shortcuts and the latest feature overview, see the Mouse SR feature tour.
